Unified provider mode, free opening episodes, and a faster sign-up

07.09.2026 - Unified Provider Mode

This release spans the mobile apps, the sign-up flow, content management, and admin tools. Provider mode now behaves the same way across every app, new subscribers get through sign-up with fewer taps, and you can give viewers a free taste of a series before asking them to subscribe.

Provider mode across all mobile apps

We've unified provider mode so it works identically in every mobile app, rather than being built separately for each one. One behavior, one configuration, whichever app your subscribers are on.

First episodes free before the paywall

You can now make the first one to three episodes of a series free for users who haven't subscribed yet, so people can start a story before they're asked to pay - and decide to subscribe because they're already invested.

Automatic country code detection

The country code on sign-up is now detected and filled in from the user's IP address. One less field to get wrong on a phone keyboard, and one less reason to abandon registration.

Original file names for subtitles and videos

Subtitles and video files now display the original uploaded file name, so you can confirm at a glance that the right file went to the right title - no more guessing from a renamed or generated ID.

Google and Facebook sign-in on the new services layer

We've merged Google and Facebook social login into the new services architecture, so both providers now run on the same updated authentication stack.

Your own support email address

You can now set your own support address, so platform emails point viewers to your support desk under your own domain instead of ours.

No emails on client reinstall

Reinstalling a client from Super Admin no longer triggers a notification email, so nobody receives a message about an action they didn't take.

With this release, the mobile experience is consistent across apps, the path from first tap to first episode is shorter, and more of what your viewers see - the support address, the file names, the free episodes - is yours to control.
