WhatsApp verification, faster loading, and steadier live playback

21.08.2026 - WhatsApp Verification & Faster Loading

This release is mostly about speed and reliability. Apps now load from cache instead of re-fetching everything on every visit, live channels recover from instability instead of going black, and new users can verify their account over WhatsApp.

WhatsApp verification on Android and iOS

You can now verify new accounts over WhatsApp instead of SMS. For audiences where WhatsApp is the default messaging app, it's a faster and cheaper path through sign-up than a one-time code that may or may not arrive - and it's a setting you switch on per deployment.

Faster loading across the app

We've reworked how the app loads data. Home, Movies, Series, Live TV, Categories and Collections no longer re-fetch everything from the server on every visit - results are cached, heavy work moved to the background, and categories load lazily as you scroll. Content-heavy home pages that used to stall now open immediately, and the difference grows with the size of your catalog.

Live channels recover instead of going black

We've improved how the player handles unstable live streams. Interruptions and buffering are handled more gracefully, and a struggling stream now shows a clear loading or reconnecting state rather than a black screen viewers read as a broken app.

Deep linking now covers the mobile apps as well, so a link opens a specific title, channel or section directly instead of dropping the viewer on the home screen. Campaigns, share links and notifications land people where you sent them, on every platform.

Configurable payment providers

You can now limit checkout to the payment providers you actually use, on both the app and the website, so viewers aren't offered methods you don't support.

A consistent look between app and website

We've aligned the app interface with the website's current visual style, including the payment package layout, and refreshed the splash screen with a larger mark on a clean white background. Your brand now reads the same, no matter how someone reaches you.

Most of this release is invisible when it works: pages that open instantly, streams that recover quietly, links that land where they should. That's the point - the app should get out of the way of the content.
